FAQ:

• For the best experience use a desktop or tablet computer.
• Each building on the map marked with a coloured dot indicates FTTH availability. Red or turquoise means «available now». Light red or light turquoise means «available soon» with the tentative target date, if known.
• Red or light red dots indicate the availability of Fiber7 services on Init7’s own infrastructure. These include private customer services called Fiber7 with 10 or 25 Gigabit; Easy7 («Unpack. Connect. Ready.») and any type of Fiber7 business customer services such as internet access with higher service level along with different types of site to site networking services.
• Turquoise or light turquoise dots indicate the availability of Hybrid7 services based on third party infrastructure. In most cases Hybrid7 service will be using XGSPON technology based on P2MP (point to multipoint) network topology. We expect that most current Hybrid7 services can be migrated to Fiber7 one day in the future, though no tentative target date can be provided, as there is no information available. Expect years, not months. We are contacting current customers using Hybrid7 with the ability to migrate to Fiber7 individually.
• ftth.init7.net is limited to FTTH fibre only. Any other type of fibre such as business and legacy fibre, FTTC, FTTS, FTTB along with xDSL or Cable (HFC) are not shown.
• All Fiber7 pops (point of presence) of Init7 currently operational are marked with a red «7». All Fiber7 pops planned or under construction are marked with an turquoise «7». Scrolling over the dot shows code and location name of the pop. There is no tentative ready for service date provided for future Fiber7 pops, as too many dependencies beyond our influence can delay the launch.
• Readiness: Most dots show a 5 to 1 readiness index. 5 means «available now», 4 to 1 indicates a descending accuracy of the tentative availability date. Please note: ALL TENTATIVE DATES ARE SUBJECT OF CHANGE!
• Data Sources:
  • Swiss map by OpenStreetMap
  • Availability data is based on various data sources such as Ready4Order and Ready4Marketing by the national incumbent; or on data provided by various net partners of Swiss Fiber Net along with data by a few 3rd party Init7 net partners.
  • Pop data are pulled from Init7 internal documentation based on Netbox.
• Update cycle: The Ready4Order and Ready4Marketing databases are usually updated several times per week. Swiss Fiber Net data are updated less frequently. Swiss Fiber Net and 3rd party data sources show only «available now», but no «available soon».
• The information given on ftth.init7.net could possibly indicate availability of services by competing providers. It’s our aim to facilitate a choice of various services to an open and fair internet market. We are convinced that any attempt to monopolise fibre infrastructure and services is genuinely wrong and not in the interest of consumers.
